We were lucky enough to get tickets to the Olympic Park on the first day of the games. The atmosphere was absolutely electric. We walked round the entire site. The amount of work and regeneration that has gone into this area, energising it into a sea of modern high-tech infrastructure, is unbelievable. Who’d have thought that it was a massive area of destitute wasteland not so long ago… And here we are, third in the medal table!
