The sky was blue on the day I photographed this, but unlike other emulsions like Portra 400, Ektar 100 doesn’t yield itself too well to over exposure (or under exposure). I wanted to concentrate on the detail in the trees and the ground so I settled on metering for the ground to hold as much detail in the scene as possible. You can tell this was pretty challenging because some of the tree trunks are too dark (not enough light) and the sky is too bright (too much light), but the majority of the woodland scene has a good level of detail retained in it.
