something new

The negatives and scans of five rolls of black and white arrived through my letterbox this morning. I’m totally thrilled at the results. One roll of Kodak Tri-X 400 and four rolls of Ilford HP5. All taken on my recently purchased Olympus OM2n. Most photos were under exposed by two stops, but in bright light I tried over exposing by one stop. All five rolls were over developed by two stops by AG Photolab. I’m determined to use the OM2n for more of this style of photography which is basically – (1) have it with me all the time and (2) take photos of anything. It’s addictive. These films have so much latitude and tolerance which makes them perfect for all sorts of different lighting conditions. Let’s start with some photos of a night out in Bristol a couple of weeks ago.
