I took this, and a few in colour, several weeks ago after seeing this solitary old telephone box on my drive home. It dawned on me that it’s very likely that there are not many of these remaining in the UK. By ‘these’ I specifically mean old red telephone boxes with working telephones which have a functioning light that comes on at night. And so I wondered what it would take to get photographs of all these pieces of communication history at dusk…
