I took this before I loaded my first roll into the IIIf. 20 minutes later I think I took my first shot 😄 Yep. It’s a bit of a faff to load, but I’m sure it’ll get easier. I did it the correct way by trimming the film leader as opposed to some of the ham-fisted YouTuber approaches out there, which involve sticking fingers through an open shutter to adjust the film behind. Yikes… My little Jupiter 8 was gathering dust on a shelf and is much happier being partnered with this timeless classic camera. The build quality of these tiny Russian lenses varies a lot, but mine seems really sharp. I simply had to load TriX as my first film of choice in this camera, purely as a homage to all the photographers back in the day.
