This is what can happen on an old Leica camera body when it gets a bit tired and unloved. At higher speeds, part of the shutter curtain fails to move quick enough resulting in it obscuring part of the frame when the exposure occurs. This was shot at f/2 on the Jupiter 8 at 1/1000s. I sent the camera off for repair today. Hoping to have it back before our travels…
