This is taken on the roof of Preston Tower, Chathill in Northumberland. You can climb the stairs and sit right on top of the bell tower. The bell mechanism is a replica of Big Ben apparently. It’s also very loud if you sit up here on the hour! Lovely view over the surrounding grounds. It was wonderful and so quiet. We could’ve sat for hours.
We stayed in the Preston House B&B just opposite which was fantastic. Highly recommended.
