This is my first attempt at a moon shot. It was taken on the 5th of May 2012 while on holiday in Cyprus – the day of 2012’s ’super moon’. It’s tricky taking this kind of photo. The image you see needed a little bit of post-production to carefully boost contrast in the right areas, maintain a decent amount of detail and an acceptable level of sharpness. It was taken with my Sigma 150mm prime lens.
I think the moon would’ve looked better the further West you were. I recall it being brighter than any other time I’ve seen it.
