I think the title of this photo conveys a lot of what I’m trying to say here in a very abstract way. What I love about Skye is that there is absolutely gorgeous scenery virtually everywhere . This is an example. We were driving along a deserted stretch of road, heading back to base after a day walking in the Cuillins. This hefty peak just seemed to loom out of nowhere and then the sun came out and lit it up while we were cloaked in the shade. The light, the silence and the air made this an even more unforgeable day.
