35mm Moments

Fleeting moments of time captured in or out of focus that mean something are some of the most important photographs that we take. 35mm film cameras, the trusty battle hardened tools of the trade used by photo-journalists back in the day, are well suited to this task. The images found here are a collection of black and white photographs that I've taken on my old beaten up 35mm film cameras with no common narrative. Many of them are not pin-sharp, not perfectly in focus, not horizontally level, not without a wonky horizon, under exposed, over exposed, part of the subject missing, etc. But they were all a photograph I wanted to take at the time, regardless of how 'perfect' the image turned out to be.

And what is perfect anyway. It's the moment that matters.
