Apart from being a complete novice at film photography and DIY scanning with a digital SLR, I actually found using the film quite difficult. At ASA 100 it needs a lot of light, and to get a nice amount of depth of field in anything but bright sunshine, you really need a tripod. So I thought, now the Makina is in full working order I&#8217;ll buy some and see what it&#8217;s like on Medium Format, and I&#8217;ll try my best to take things slow(er) using my tripod. Ektar 100 is traditionally a landscape film. It delivers lovely colours when properly exposed, minimal grain and a good amount of detail.
